If you open a bank account (checking, savings, or passbook), it is in your name, and your name only. It is only in other people's name if they sign up for it with you.

no, you opened your own account, only you are on the account so no one else(not even your mother)can access that account

No, she will not have access to the account. If you sign up for online statements, she is less likely to become aware of the account.
Why do you want to keep the account a secret? After my daughter graduated from high school, we went to the credit union and I withdrew my name from the account that we held jointly. It's only her account now. I don't have access to it and I am no longer responsible if anything goes wrong with it.

Wow. Why would you even care if she knows you have your own account? Open your own account. Withdraw whatever money you have in the joint account and deposit it into your own account. You can opt not to have a monthly statement sent to your home; I haven't had bank statements sent to my home in years. I access my account online.
And no, she can't access the account. Only you have access. Access is only given to whomever the account belongs to. If it is your account in your own name no one else has access.
Part of being an adult is being upfront. You shouldn't need to feel that you must hide this account from your mother. Own it. Act like the adult you now are.

Not unless you let her know about it or she reads your mail.
