If you do get approved, I would be shocked.

This is America. You can apply for anything you want... credit card, food stamps, gun license and even law school. It doesn't mean you'll be approved. Just know two things... it is easy to get a credit card than it is to pay it; and even if you get a card, it won't have a high limit but you'll probably have an annual fee. Usually offers to bad credit customers have some fine print you should read like they can increase your interest at any time for no reason as long as they give you a notice of it and your minimum payments can (and sometimes do) vary from the original application. You can live without a credit card but it means that you have to live within your means not paying for 20 years on what you bought yesterday.

Yes you can still apply. You can fill out an application for the card online at their different websites, try for one through a bank, go in person, or call them up and apply over the phone. You have a few options. I have discover card and it works great for me and has very very high reviews. Accepted everywhere of course and you get some cash back bonus on certain purchases with a decent rate. BUT having said all this, be prepared to be rejected alot, if not every single time. They are very tight with cards these days. My husband has a pretty good credit rating, and still got rejected...twice. So someone with bad credit probably doesn't stand much of a chance. Sorry :( Maybe try to pull out a small loan, and make payments on that right away.

There are other ways to get good credit. Why didn't you pay your debts? Not all of the information comes off and it still shows you had debts you did not pay in the past and your score will be VERY low which will indicate you had credit problems before as well. You don't get to spend a companies money then not pay it and then do it again every 7 years. Get your credit report.

Why would you want another headache? You have one card already, and working to repay that will give you a better credit reputation. Of course you can live without a credit card. I haven't got one and manage fine.

You can apply all you want

You just won't get approved

You CAN live without a credit card. Get a secured Visa or MC through your bank if you want to help your credit score. Applying for all these cards is just dragging your score down and making your bad credit worse.

That's an interesting question considering that you just made another posting claiming that you want to stop using credit cards and get out of debt...

Don't apply for a new one yet Ashley. I think you should settle your current card first. If you need some assistance on your spending, you can try http://www.moneyhighstreet.com/. They offer the so called "debt consolidation loans" which can help you out with your credit card debts. The loans they offer have really low interest rates.

why not consider living within your means for once rather than contributing to your countries consumer debt problem!

wipe the dollar/pound signs from your eyes, stop throwing your money away on even more interest and pay off your other card!! you'll improve your credit rating by doing it too!!
