no longer a registered user doesn't mean he's off for good. There are many reasons people get that...like if their credit card expired and they need ot update it.

This is taken from one of the help pages on eBay: The cost to sell on eBay varies depending on which eBay site you’re selling on, and how you list your item. When you sell an item, you’ll be able to review your fees on the Sell Your Item form before you submit your listing. Your total cost will be a total of the insertion fee, final value fee, and listing upgrade fees. Here’s how it works: Insertion fee: When you list an item, you’re charged an insertion fee for the listing. The insertion fee is based on the starting price and the category of your item. If you specified a reserve price, the insertion fee is based on the reserve price amount. Final value fee: If the item sells, you’re charged a final value fee. The final value fee is based on the final sale price and category of the item. It does not include shipping costs. Listing upgrades: If you add upgrades to your listing, such as a subtitle, extra picture, or highlighting, there will be an additional charge for each listing upgrade. Me: In my experience, when you've got the cash in your hand, the total listing fee isn't that much at all. Pictures are also only about 50c. To get the most for your items, start the auction at 99c. That way people will see how low the price is and bid on it. Eventually, after everyone bids, some of the items could get you 100's of $. Hope my answer helps ;P

You can file a repot with Ebay but you are basically out of luck. File a police report, he has probably screwed others and if they catch him you will be more likely to get your money back.

If you bought the money order from a bank go in Tuesday (Monday they will be closed for the holiday) and see if the money order has actually cleared the bank. If it hasn't then there is a posibility that they can put a stop on the check so you can get your money back.

Next time only use Paypal!!!

Hopefully you still have the money order receipt. There should be a customer service number to call so you can put a stop payment on the check. If the check has already been cashed, hopefully you kept the seller's information. Contact EBAY customer service. Even though he is not a member, they will have a record of all his transactions. Once you compile all the evidence you can against him, file a small claims suit against him.

Try to use only pay pal,it is easier to get money back.

File a complaint with ebay and try to take him to small claims court.

Good luck

Small claims court. That's your only recourse.
