I wonder how is that people that get paid weekly got paid 5 times in the month that have 5 weeks and people that get paid twice per month got the same amount of regular hours paid every time? It doesnt supposed to be more hours on the months that got 5 weeks?

There are 52 weeks in a year. Those who get paid hourly wages & those hours are paid weekly get 52 paychecks a year. Each one is 1/52 of a year's pay, assuming the same number of hours per week.

Those who get paid twice a month are usually on salary, not hourly wages. They get their year's salary divided up into 24 paychecks per year. Each check is 1/24 of a year's salary.

If the two people made exactly the same gross amount per year, either way they are paid they will get the same gross income per year.

Some months will end up with 5 fridays in it so they'll end up getting paid 5 times in 1 month. Just like if you're paid biweekly you'll have 2 months with 3 paychecks in it. 52/4 is more than 4, so there has to be a couple of months with an extra paycheck. However, if you make 50,000, you'll make 50,000 whether it's weekly, biweekly, or twice a month.

It all works out the same.
