Adjustment EF ATM deposit Wells Fargo?

Question

I have Wells Fargo and yesterday I deposited a check of 2800 my account it was deposited and it said pending. the today I saw adjustment to EF ATM deposit when I called the bank it said I forgot to sign it and they will send me an email never received it so I called back they transfer me to loss prevention and they told me that the person had stopped payment on the check and they were going to close out my account and I can no longer do business with them can they do that and what happened?

Apparently someone stopped payment on the check. You need to get it back from the bank so you could take legal action assuming that the check was valid.

Yes, they can do that. Your issue is with whomever wrote you the check.
