Conact your bank ASAP because they sure can tap into your account and/or sell your info to others.

Never give any personal info to anyone, even folks you know, via email. Email is NOT secure and can be EASILY hacked.

Good luck.

Hang on to all the emails--yours and theirs--may need them for bank, possibly investigations as well.

Have them contact the International Red Cross for assistance on coming back to the good ole USA. Don't they carry Master Card or Visa, along with passports.

If they are stuck in NIGERIA, they should also contact the US Embassy for help.

Close the account, once they get the routing number to any bank and the account number the con artist are going to use the rounting number as the key to the bank and start going up and down from your checking account to find as many accounts to steal from.

One final comment ( You are pretty much screwed)

If it isn't a person you know personally, I'd say you been had...especially if you gave them your bank name and account number.

The best thing to do is call your bank immediately...they should have a 24 hour fraud protection/reporting line. CLOSE THE ACCOUNT!

If they would really like to pay you out of there US account, they too should send you a cashiers check, money order, travelers check, WesternUnion. NEVER give you bank account information...ever. And never transfer money to another account that is not your own, since on some back statements the account number will actually appear there.

To be on the safe side...close the account immediately.

Good luck!

yep, you've been had. It happens to the best of us. I've never given my account number but I did have someone from there send me a fake check who pretended to want a computer. I was suppose to send the computer to him but since the check didn't clear, I didn't send the computer.

Once you call your bank, the second they open, they'll fix this for you. Don't worry too much, they'll take care of you.

Don't not change your account if there hasn't been activity on it. I'm sure they'll wait until you have enough money in there.

Take the morning off and be at the banks door as soon as they open. Close the account. Hope like hell the transfers haven't drained you yet. And never give out your personal info to anyone online.

if i were u i should be alert in that kind of situation.

cause other people might lock our account or took all ur money in the bank.

and if u heard that people in nigeria do some bad scams i think that might be true.

and besides what if that they were just lying to u.....

so if i were u look at ur bank account if it isn't been lock or been stealed or something...

You should alert your bank, and they can lock your acount from certain transactions. You will probably be ok, because they don't usually get their money from a bank account but through the western union.

Call your bank immediately, then call the police, then report them on the internet (google "report scam")
