If you had emergency money saved up, what would you use it for if you needed it? Please give me examples.

EX: When your car breaks down.

Even with insurance, a hospital co-pay would eat up an emergency fund if you landed in the hospital. So that's an example.

Broken transmission for a car comes to mind as well.

Unexpected car repairs, unexpected medical costs (mine or my dog's), unexpected job loss, unexpected travel due to family emergency or death, misjudging the costs of a major planned expense (like moving), and in my younger days, to float a bill that was due the day before pay day. Also in my younger days, realizing too late that I'd spent too much on wants instead of needs - which meant I'd be sacrificing next month to cover those cute clothes, night out, whatever to replenish the emergency fund.

If I lost my income here would be my priorities:

Medical insurance

Mortgage payment

Food

Utilities

That's about it.

Oh wait, even if I don't lose my income I would put a major unexpected home repair that would compromise safety or structural integrity of the home in this category too.

Things like car repairs and minor home repairs come from my semi-emergency fund...lol. Yep, I have an "emergency" fund and then there is THE EMERGENCY FUND WHICH SHALL REMAIN UNTOUCHED UNLESS A DIRE EMERGENCY OCCURS.
