Or does it like, go to your paypal account then you have to transfer it to your bank account, or can you use that money straight away on ebay?

It will go straight into your paypal account however you can set it up to transfer to your bank - fairly easy process that takes a few days.

Or spend it straight away on whatever you choose !!

good luck

If the buyer pays with funds in their account, uses a credit card or uses a bank account with a credit card linked to the account, Paypal will transfer the money instantly. Otherwise it's an e-check and can take 3-5 days to clear.

Paypal will only transfer the money to your Paypal account. You must manually withdraw it to your bank account if that's where you want it to be.

However, Paypal won't let you transfer the money the day you get it. They will put a hold on the money for up to 3 weeks. This is to give you time to ship the item, time for the buyer to get it and time to see if the buyer is happy. If all goes well, you get the money. If something goes wrong, the money is still in your account to be refunded to the buyer. The money will be visible in your Paypal account, just not available to spend or withdraw.

The second commentor is a little off. His comments are if your ebay account is Below Standard. Meaning you have been getting a lot of returns as a seller, etc.

As long as your ebay account is in good standing you have access to your paypal money as soon as it is in there. I ordered the paypal atm card. So I can sell something and as soon as they pay I can go to the atm 2 minutes later and get out cash. I dont have to wait 3-5 days for a bank transfer. Extremely nice.

This is 100% a SCAM You NEVER for any reason give your Paypal address to anyone on Ebay. That's why you use Ebay - to protect your privacy and protect your Paypal account from phishing scams If this person bought it, they MUST pay through Ebay's checkout page. You cannot give them your Paypal address directly as that is considered and "offsite" transaction and you will not have ANY protection from either Ebay or Paypal if you do this. You will send the laptop then they will contact Ebay claiming their account was hacked and someone paid for an item they didn't order. Ebay will contact you asking for proof of delivery to the buyer's verified address. You won't have it -- because they are already telling you they are shipping to a "friend'. So since you don't have proof it was delivered to the buyer's verified address, AND you did an offsite transaction by providing your Paypal details directly to the seller instead of him paying through Ebay, you will lose both your money and laptop and probably have your account closed as well for breaching Ebay's Terms of Service Write back to say that you will not give your address and he has to pay through Ebay's checkout page. AND you will ONLY ship to his account's verified address. If he wants it sent to his friend, that is HIS responsibility to do so, not yours Then report the buyer to Ebay

Like, it goes to your PayPal account and then like you have to transfer it to your nominated bank account.
